Steve Clark Funeral Mass with Servants of the Word

As with the Yocum funeral two years ago, Clark’s funeral was celebrated by Monsignor Robert Oliver, former secretary for the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors.

Before his conversion, Clark wrote the following as editor-in-chief of his yearbook at the Peddie School (Class of 1958, voted keenest intellect + most likely to succeed). The sentiment about recalling many things that should not be forgotten is general enough to serve many occasions and should act as sage advice for those who carry on his legacy.

“To record the events that anyone may remember is almost impossible. To record all the events that make a lasting impression upon the student is just as impossible. It is rather the purpose to picture the scenes that will evoke hidden memories of events and people long left behind and that will recall many things that should not be forgotten.”
